Good Internet Marketing “Know-How” is as valuable these days as any graduate school business degree–some would argue even more so. The evidence for that would be the throngs of unemployed MBA’s along side an exploding number of Internet entrepreneurs making terrific incomes by leveraging the power of the Internet in their businesses (usually home-based, to boot!) to market their goods and services to anyone, anywhere in the world. Internet marketing education is still a new-enough career-building strategy–and the experts/teachers are younger than we are!–so it really is no wonder that the brilliance of it hasn’t become obvious–yet–to the masses; especially masses of midlife career changers. But when you think about it, it all makes this an especially good time to get on board and learn the ropes!

The “universe” of learning is vast. The nice thing is that one can start using new skills and knowledge right away, get good results, begin generating income, and keep honing and building expertise over time. No one, two, four or more-year programs to go through, or massive student loans to encumber; you can get up and started within a matter of hours at a fraction of the cost, in the comfort of your own home, and with none of the hassles associated with the idea of “going back to school.”

Perhaps the best thing about independently pursuing your Internet marketing education (rather than doing it through a formal business school), is that you will be establishing yourself as an Internet entrepreneur as you go–not preparing yourself to be someone else’s employee. That single difference is no small thing; rather, it is the deal-breaker in whether or not you will have control over the profits you generate, as well as control over your life and future. After all, freedom and choice are the keys to successful midlife career change.
